Course Overview
On government programmes and giga-projects, Oracle Primavera P6 EPPM is only as reliable as its enterprise configuration. A poorly structured EPS, inconsistent activity codes, open security profiles or unmanaged calendars quickly produce schedules that cannot be rolled up, compared or trusted by the PMO. The P6 administrator owns the structures, standards and controls that make portfolio-level reporting possible, and is accountable for keeping them intact as contractors, projects and users change.
P6 EPPM Administration prepares experienced schedulers and system administrators to take ownership of a multi-project P6 environment. Across two intensive days, learners design the EPS and OBS, build enterprise data standards, configure global and project security profiles, set application settings, administer users, Team Member and scheduled services, and control XER/XML data exchange, all within a realistic owner-and-contractor programme environment modelled on government and giga-project practice.

Hands-on Workshops & Practical Exercises
EPS and OBS design clinic
Design the EPS and OBS for a multi-contractor government programme, then justify the structure against security and reporting requirements.
Security profile build
Create global and project security profiles for owner, PMC, contractor and read-only users, then test access by logging in as each role.
Enterprise data clean-up
Rationalise duplicated calendars, activity codes and UDFs in an inherited database and publish the governed standard.
Contractor schedule intake
Import a contractor XER file under controlled import rules, assess it against the DCMA 14-point checks and issue an acceptance or rejection report.
Team Member roll-out
Configure Team Member and status update approvals for a site team and walk a progress update from field entry to planner approval.
Capstone: administration operating model
Deliver a complete configuration for a new programme, covering EPS, OBS, security, enterprise data, baseline policy and scheduled services, with a concise standards manual assessed against the course rubric.
Duration
Delivered as two consecutive full days in the classroom, or as four live online sessions of 3.5 hours scheduled over one or two weeks.
